with superripe flavors of cherry liqueur
pure Barolo blossoms on the palate with superb depth and definition
which effectively means that the Domaine owns 89% of the appellation
After going through a transitional period after Jacques Reynaud died in 1997
(from vines in both Meursault and Puligny)
Jean-Marc Pillot, Chassagne Montrachet Macherelles Blanc other_regions_italy with superripe flavors of cherryThis is the first wine to display any appreciable reduction and it is enough to push the underlying fruit to the background. By contrast there is good verve and freshness to the moderately dense flavors that possess almost painful intensity on the lemony, linear and chiseled finale that flashes both first rate depth and length. Its rare for Macherelles to achieve this level of quality color me impressed.
